OBJECTIVE
The project was developed to address the lack of a centralized digital hub for artists to share their work, find collaborators, and build professional connections. DisARTe aims to bridge this gap by combining social networking and online marketplace features into one accessible art community platform.
CHALLENGE
Designing the UI/UX was challenging due to the platform’s multifunctional nature — combining social interaction (like Instagram) and e-commerce (like Amazon). Balancing functionality with simplicity while keeping the design user-friendly required careful layout planning and prioritization.
APPROACH/ SOLUTION
As the UI/UX designer and brand creator, I designed an intuitive interface inspired by familiar platforms to help users navigate easily. I developed a modern logo and branding system to reflect creativity and collaboration. Additionally, I participated in user research and survey analysis to identify artists’ needs and guide design decisions.
RESULTS/ OUTCOME
Although DisARTe remained at the conceptual and design stage, the final prototype effectively visualized how a digital art community could integrate creation, connection, and collaboration features. The project was presented to our professor, who evaluated and graded it positively for its comprehensive research, thoughtful UI/UX design, and cohesive branding approach.
